THE VINE THAT ATE THE SOUTH

Driving down out of the Appalachian Mountains, into the rolling hills of Georgia, we encountered "The vine that ate the south."  Also know as Kudzu, it was introduced in Flordia about 1925 as a fast growing browse for cattle. (Little did anyone know...) Native to Japan and China the vine-like plant was difficult to establish but once it took hold, there was no stopping it.  One is able to look out and see most anything that doesn't
move completely covered with the plant.  Abondoned houses, cars barns COMPLETELY blanketed.

Temperatures at night still in the 20's.  Daytime 50's  This cold snap can't last forever, can it?  Give me a little Global Warming....just a little.
