After the rain and ready for for the bees.
Antasaurus-They grow em big in Florida.
The frost didn't get this far south....yet.
The bike needs a little work but with a couple of new tires and some TLC it’ll be ready for this years Iron County Cancer Ride. Plenty of time for retrofitting, the ride isn’t scheduled until mid-March.
It wasn’t easy but it is possible to find blue (sparsely traveled) roads in Florida. Mile after mile of orange groves and tomatoes grow along these back roads and give testament to the states second largest industry, agriculture, tourism being number one. Open semi trailers filled to overflowing with not-yet-ripe oranges are yanked along by diesel belching tractors on the way to juice factories. The tourists are hiding, it’s too cold for snowbirds to venture far from indoor heaters.
Somewhere in-between Arcadia and Lake Okeechobee, FL we found this nice park, “Sunshine Resort.” Nothing fancy, but deliciously clean and quiet with many flowering plants that have not been scorched by the frost.
