Reverend Amos from Alabama says, "And I command the Lord to send down his angles to make the ground holy and protect me where I sleep." It's a good thing the Reverend has connections in high places, sleeping under the stars is speculative business in the best of times. After three heart attacks, a current bout with pneumonia and being homeless, he needs all the angels he can muster.
"We are living in hell and real soon He'll be calling up all us believers to live by his side in paradise," Amos tells me, with a far off, almost twinkle in his eye.
